Bought this drill on sale at a large home improvement store for about
the Amazon price. Nowadays everybody talks about the "voltage" implying
more is always better. Whats next? 48 volts? Come on.

I considered the 18 volt version but let common sense prevail and
got the 12 volt unit. My objective was a good, solid, powerful drill
for general usage around the house. I wanted something I could
manipulate easily and which didn't have a humungous battery getting in
the way. I can tell you this 12 volt drill is a beast. I'm a serious
woodworker and home repair type of guy and this drill is perfect
without the ridiculous size of the higher voltage types. Nice balance
in your hand so you'll feel comfortable grabbing it for many jobs.
The charger is fast and the batteries last a long time between charges.
Don't get sucked into the voltage hype. Buy this 12 volt unit without hesitation.
